Its great to be able to say we seem to be making quite a habit of visiting France to film weddings and specifically Chateau La Durantie which is always a pleasure. This was our third wedding at this Chateau and Im not sure what it is about the place but its like a home away from home in some respects. Its always a very relaxed environment, the weather is always nice and I just love outdoor weddings. If you would like to know more about our international service check out our page on filming in France for more details. I guess on a whole outdoor weddings do have their own set of challenges but all in all it makes for great footage, and who doesnt enjoy working outdoors on a sunny day.

Our couple this time were Irene and Karim, they were so cool to work with and took everything in their stride. We shot some great stuff the evening prior to the wedding as everyone got to know each other at a barbecue they had organised at the Chateau. It was a great way to start the weekend and a pretty awesome party!! On the day of the wedding Irene’s brother took over the kitchen and cooked some amazing food for everyone (he is a highly respected chef). The ceremony ran late which was exciting and the day just flew by from then on. I cant remember a more hectic schedule but everything came together well and a crazy party followed.

The edit is a slight move away from tradition and in keeping with the couples request we have tried to retain very much a ‘French’ feel to it, I just love some of the slo-mo in the highlights and the way things flow. Hope you enjoy.

Such an amazing time filming Lulu and Jacques wedding in France. They had chosen the beautiful Château de Challain in the Loire Valley area and the place is just incredible. This wedding was the first of two wedding we filmed during our one week stay in France, filming at Chateau de Challain and then travelling down to the Dordogne area later and filming at Chateau La Durantie. Spending a week in rural France during the summer was just amazing and we thouroughly enjoyed our time there. I have to say at this stage a huge thanks to our hosts during our stay firstly at Moulin Geant in Loire Valley and also Chambres d’hôtes in Brouillac for looking after us while we were there.

I dont know what it is about French Chateaux weddings but they have a very relaxed feel about them, I think its the french way to be a little laid back and Im sure the lovely weather helps. What the film doesnt actually show is the brief down pour just minutes before the ceremony and I have to commend Cynthia and the crew at Chatea Challain for doing a remarkable job of negating any impact this had on the day, it really was a sight to see everyone running round taking chair covers off and then drying the area before resuming the days events one hour later when the weather decided to behave itself. I could go on about what a memorable day this was but hopefully the highlights provide a brief glimpse of what a special time everyone had. Enjoy!

Here is a lovely wedding teaser from a beautiful wedding we filmed in the South of France at the incredible Chateau La Durantie. Many visitors here will have heard me wax lyrical in the past about what a wonderful job we have and how lucky we are to film in such beautiful locations, well that was most certainly true when we filmed Sean and Rhiannon’s wedding. We had done a little research prior to the wedding and loved the look of Chateau La Durantie, it had so much character and typified french architecture of this period. The Chateau is in the Perogord Vert a beautiful and tranquil part of the Dordogne in south west France. I could go on about what a beautiful setting it was, but in the interests of keeping things concise I wont dwell on about the details.

I think on this day the stars must have aligned and it was just perfect, Sean and Rhiannon were great to work with and lots of fun with Sean singing to Rhiannon in the evening (I don’t think he will mind me saying but he’s by no means a natural singer), a very skillfully performed 1st dance and finishing of the evening with a firework display and crepes served around midnight.  A big thank you to Leonard Cohade who photographed their day and was a pleasure to work with. We film several weddings a year in France, Spain, Italy and beyond and its always a pleasure traveling to such beautiful locations and meeting such wonderful people, this has to be our favourite French wedding video yet though. Enjoy
